Skyward Specialty Employees Give Back at Local Food Banks and Support Feeding America

During the month of November, employees from across the Company gathered together to make a difference in their local communities by volunteering at their local food banks.

Skyward Specialty team members out of the Dallas office, volunteered at Crossroads Community Services. During their day of volunteering, they assembled four pallets of dry goods boxes totaling 7,500 pounds of food.

In Houston, employees worked at the Houston Food Bank to help sort, process and pack food items for children who are dependent on school meals for nutrition. During their time at the bank, they produced the equivalent of one meal per minute for those in underserved communities in Houston.

In Atlanta, a group of employees gathered together to pack pallets of food at the Atlanta Community Food Bank. Collectively the group assembled more than 6,000 meals for those in need.

In addition to the more than 100 hours of volunteer service, our employees made monetary pledges to Feeding America throughout the month of November. Together, employee donations combined with a Skyward Foundation match, we donated $5,678, which translates to 56,780 meals to those in need.
