Skyward foundation assists summer interns with community project

HOUSTON, Texas – July 30, 2021 –The Skyward Foundation made a philanthropic donation today in support of the summer 2021 Skyward Specialty intern class.

From the start of their program, the 2021 Skyward Specialty interns wanted to make it a priority to incorporate charity and community service projects into their experience.  As part of that initiative, the interns partnered with Houston organization, United Against Human Trafficking (UAHT), in order to spread awareness to company employees about the prevalence of human trafficking. A speaker from UAHT spoke to the Company on World Against Human Trafficking Day and after his presentation, the Skyward Foundation presented the organization with a donation of $500.

“It means a great deal to us that the Skyward Foundation took an interest in our service project and made donations to organizations we care about," a spokesperson for the intern group said. “Skyward Specialty's focus on charity and philanthropy is one of the many great positive aspects of the company culture.”

“I am thrilled that Skyward Foundation proved to be a valuable resource for the interns’ community project,” said Kevin Westervelt, President of Skyward Foundation. “I am excited to see in what ways Skyward Foundation can support employees’ philanthropic efforts next.”
